The flavor of the Bison Anticucho was absolutely incredible, and that was just the appetizer. Their take on Lomo Saltado really stuck to the original flavors while still being unique and delicious. The dry aged steak was to die for. To end the birthday dinner with my wife, we ordered the strawberry brule. Great wine, drinks were delicious, it was all good. I am definitely recommending this place to everyone I know.
My girlfriend and I went for Happy Hour and Toro didn’t disappoint. I think we tried all the small bites. The pork belly tacos were good but the corn tortillas were rock hard other than that the flavor was great! Shrimp Cocktail was really flavorful. The truffle fries were good too, the shishito peppers were okay… the aioli was good but the peppers were Just ok. Out service was great. We want to try the brunch sometime soon.
We had a wonderful evening celebrating Dia de Los Muertos with Toro’s beautifully themed menu! We ordered items from their Dia de Los Muertos menu and the food was absolutely decadent! They also had a beautiful ofrenda in the restaurant and we were so happy to have such a special dinner at Toro!
Amazing bar/restaurant in Hotel Clio. Nice spot for drinks and conversation. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the lack of non-alcoholic options (one NA beer choice). Guac and chips was a great bar selection and breakfast was amazing (avocado toast)!
Great food, good service and lovely ambiance! Not many places I leave, looking forward to going back with other loved ones right away.
The bottomless brunch includes a plate of each dish, you don't need to choose. It's very filling! I think I'll ask for smaller portions for next time.
Loved:
Cucumber dish marinated like raw fish (and I don't even like cucumber!?!)
Sirloin served on a sizzling plate (egg was over cooked but steak made up for it)
Apreas were really tasty
Mango sorbet, and typically I don't love sorbet
Bread pudding was phenomenal, exactly what I've been looking for in bread pudding for years but never found
The bottomless brunch is 40 bucks, if you include alcohol it's 60. They also have coffee and individual drinks.
We had reservations on a Saturday at 11am but there were plenty of seats available.
Aesthetics inside we're really pleasing. It's right inside a hotel. Nice ambiance overall. The bathrooms are really nice, clean, and have properly closing doors. There is some outdoor seating.
I recently dined at Toro restaurant and was impressed with the quality of the food. The flavors were excellent and the presentation was beautiful. Plus, the prices were very reasonable for the high quality of the dishes. …
Food was just OK, the presentation was lovely but the food itself was way too heavy. Service staff pretty abysmal--waitress was completely uninterested and bartender opted to pour a "substitute" glass of wine, a completely different …
I ended up trying Toro with a girlfriend this week, and OMG this place is gonna be a new go to for me! It was fantastic! Loved both the atmosphere and the food. …
